I was in 9th/10th grade at Palmer Trinity. I played JV Football and moved up to varsity at the end of the season. Watching DP play football was incredible. He was one of, if not the, smallest person on the field. That did not slow him down a bit because he had the best speed and the biggest heart. He ran with no fear. One kick off in particular stands out in my head. He was on the kickoff team and laid a huge hit on the receiver the instant he caught the ball. It was a crowd erupting blow and one of the best I’ve ever seen. He was a gift to the field and a true athlete. I admired his effort and his passion.
I was indirectly involved with his life but I can honestly say that he had an impact on me and mine.
DP with be truly missed. God Bless
