Millersville, Md. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of the Arlington, Virginia, man killed in a weekend boating accident in the Severn River in Anne Arundel County.
The body of 24-year-old Daniel Pemsler was pulled from the water Sunday night.
The accident happened about 6 p.m. Saturday. Maryland Natural Resources police say Pemsler was riding a tube that was being pulled by a boat. After he let go and was waiting to get picked up, another boat hit him.
Officials are investigating the incident.
It's the second time in a week someone has died on the river. Last week, the body of a 16-year-old boy was recovered from the Severn.
